He has become West Ham’s leading man with displays which confound the labels put on players nowadays.
Because the West Ham midfielder has showed he really can do it all, from defending and tackling to insane skills and attacking brilliance.

As reported by Hammers News at the weekend, Paqueta received a standing ovation from the Liverpool fans as he was substituted in the 87th minute of West Ham’s 3-1 defeat at Anfield.
And a Sky Sports pundit revealed Liverpool fans around him were clapping some of the things he was doing during the game.
Paqueta maintained his excellent personal form at Liverpool. He won the ball more times than any player on the pitch as he grafted for the team. And he was a box of tricks throughout as Liverpool’s players struggled to get near the Hammers ace.
Whether he was tackling them, intercepting passes, slipping the ball between their legs or flicking it over their heads, Paqueta was a class apart.

On multiple occasions as many as three Liverpool players were required to contain Paqueta, often with no other option than to foul him. He certainly did not deserve to be on the losing side.
Earlier this month it was revealed that Paqueta has won possession more times than any other player in Europe’s top SEVEN leagues so far this season.
Now he is hitting new heights.

Paqueta is top in four out of the five key areas of play and second in another according to Premier League stats.
The silky yet gritty West Ham midfielder has won possession 58 times so far this season – more than any other player in the top flight.
He has won more duels than any other player in the Prem this season, coming out on top 55 times.
Paqueta has made more successful tackles than any other player in the world’s best league this season with 23.
And in the other side to his game he has played more successful through ball passes than any other player in the Premier League with nine so far.
He has also won possession in the defensive third 32 times, the second most in the Premier League up to now.
West Ham’s Brazilian magnifico indeed.
