The 31-year-old left West Brom for Dalian Pro in the summer of 2019.
Hammers boss David Moyes is desperate to bolster his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow.
The Scot desperately needs to add more quality competition and cover for Michail Antonio.

West Ham eyeing Rondon swoop
Now this one does make sense if you think about it.
The 82-capped Venezuela international possess very similar attributes to Michail Antonio.
He is more than capable of leading the line on his own and is an absolute handful for opposing defenders. The former West Brom and Newcastle ace is very strong and is brilliant when playing with his back to goal.

Rondon’s goalscoring record isn’t great. He’s scored just 151 goals in 435 career games (Transfermarkt).
That doesn’t really matter though. West Ham need someone who can come in when Antonio isn’t playing and act as a focal point for our attacking play.
And in truth, one goal every three games isn’t the worst return.

And if West Ham can sign Rondon for a bargain fee, he certainly wouldn’t be the worst addition for us this summer.
