West Ham’s owners have welcomed Karim Virani back to the London Stadium after he left six years ago.
He previously worked in the club’s digital, marketing and commercial teams from 2015 to 2020.
Virani now returns in a more senior role that the board believe he will excel in thanks to his considerable experience.
Joint-chairs Sullivan, Kretinsky and Gold wrote: “On behalf of the Board of Directors and everyone at West Ham United, we would like to welcome Karim back to the Club and wish him every success in his new role.

Only time will tell whether Virani is successful at the East London club and whether he keeps his job long-term.
Meanwhile, the owners felt obliged to send a message to the West Ham fans after recent events at the stadium.
The atmosphere at the London Stadium has been excellent in helping Nuno Espirito Santo’s side on the pitch.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal supporters for their continued, incredible backing,” they continued.
“As we saw again at London Stadium on Saturday, the energy, commitment, unity and resilience shared among our players, coaches, staff and fans gives us great belief that we can finish this season on a high.”
