West Ham United could make a move to sign Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface in the January transfer window.
However, TEAMtalk claim that West Ham might have to wait until the summer before we have a chance to sign Victor Boniface.
Hammers boss David Moyes has been overly reliant on Michail Antonio over the past few years, and the Scot recently spoke at length regarding how difficult it is for him to find a long-term replacement for the 33-year-old.
Antonio has regressed so badly over the past 12 months, and Moyes definitely needs to make a big upgrade on the Jamaica international.
The former Nottingham Forest man has been in atrocious form for West Ham this season, and shouldn’t be any where near the starting lineup if truth be told.
Now it seems like Moyes has a really exciting plan up his sleeve to replace Antonio…

Victor Boniface on West Ham radar
The 22-year-old Nigeria international has been absolutely on fire out in Germany under Xabi Alonso this term.
He has bagged a really impressive 11 goals and six assists in 15 games for Bayer Leverkusen this season (Transfermarkt).
Boniface is an absolute powerhouse, and is tailor made for Moyes’s system at the London Stadium.
The Leverkusen ace has power and pace in abundance, just like Antonio, but he is a far superior finisher to the 33-year-old and is on another level entirely when it comes to his technical ability.
He definitely won’t come cheap though – Leverkusen only signed him from Union St Gilloise this summer just gone.
All Nigeria Soccer claim that he’s valued at around €40 million (£35 million), but I suspect it will cost a lot more than that to prise him away from BayArena in January.
What I do know is that West Ham should be going all out for Victor Boniface. He is an elite striker who is the perfect fit for our system and Premier League football in general.
If Moyes does manage to sign him, we would have a truly scary attack with the Nigerian lined up alongside Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paqueta and Jarrod Bowen. However, I really can’t see us getting him in January unfortunately.
