Long-time West Ham target Moussa Dembele has just been released by Lyon.
Fabrizio Romano took to Twitter last night to confirm the news that West Ham target Moussa Dembele has been released by Lyon.
Hammers boss David Moyes will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his centre-forward ranks at the London Stadium in the summer transfer window.

And now it seems as though the Hammers have a golden chance to sign him…
West Ham now have a golden chance to sign Moussa Dembele for absolutely nothing
With Dembele having been released by Lyon, Moyes has an opportunity to bring in a top-class striker for absolutely nothing.
Former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers once labelled Moussa Dembele as an ‘immense’ striker (The Record).

The Frenchman has power and pace in abundance and is a really good finisher when presented with a goalscoring opportunity.
Dembele has bagged 70 goals and 19 assists in 172 games for Lyon and he has 152 goals in 353 career games to his name – a really impressive tally (Transfermarkt).
The Lyon striker would provide Moyes with an entirely different option through the middle, and his availability on a free transfer makes signing him somewhat of a no-brainer for the Hammers boss.
I think that Moussa Dembele would be a fine addition to the West Ham squad this summer. Let’s hope that Moyes makes it happen.
