But West Ham’s media team responded to the ridiculous rumours in style, simply posting pictures of Bowen in a clear response to the speculation.
West Ham posted three lightning bolts – a reference to Bowen’s pace – alongside pictures of the attacker training and crouched on his knees in a post just after 8pm last night.
