West Ham United’s media team brilliantly shut down ridiculous rumours surrounding Jarrod Bowen last night.

West Ham are currently at St Andrews in Scotland for a pre-season training camp.

The Hammers have been sharing images and footage with fans of the players being put through their paces and enjoying some down time as David Moyes gears up for next season.

West Ham enjoyed a record breaking campaign last term and it could have been even better as Moyes’s men missed out on a Champions League spot by just one win.

Injuries to key players every West Ham fan’s greatest fear

Indeed Moyes admitted himself recently that Declan Rice’s absence through injury for the run-in cost West Ham a top four spot.

The prospect of losing key players is a big worry for Hammers fans, who have been scarred by seeing their stars out for long periods in the past.

Particularly given West Ham’s lack of depth in certain crucial areas of the team.

So when rumours started in West Ham circles on social media last night that fan favourite Jarrod Bowen had ruptured his ACL in training, supporters were understandably concerned.

West Ham media team brilliantly responds to ridiculous Bowen rumours

Fans were confused as footage from the club had showed Bowen cycling, running and taking part in training drills earlier that day.

But West Ham’s media team responded to the ridiculous rumours in style, simply posting pictures of Bowen in a clear response to the speculation.

West Ham posted three lightning bolts – a reference to Bowen’s pace – alongside pictures of the attacker training and crouched on his knees in a post just after 8pm last night.

Hammers have been busy shutting down misinformation

It was a clever and subtle way to shut down the rumours.

West Ham have had to do a lot of that recently, taking insider ExWHUemployee and The Sun to task over information surrounding the club’s contract offers to Declan Rice.
