West Ham United boss David Moyes has not clamped down on leaks from inside the club.

That’s according to a man who would know – popular West Ham ITK source ExWHUemployee.

It has been a quiet start to the transfer window for West Ham with the only signings made so far being academy players.

But the Hammers are not alone with only a handful of Premier League clubs – such as Aston Villa and Watford – doing any meaningful business.

Some Hammers fans concerned by quiet start to summer window

Some West Ham fans are concerned by the lack of activity given Moyes has stated that he needs to beef up his squad in key areas to cope with the added demands of Europa League football next term.

Others are more realistic and cite the Euros as a major reason why not much business will be done until its conclusion in three weeks.

A section of West Ham supporters believe the lack of transfer news is the result of Moyes cracking down on leaks from inside the club.

Insider ExWHUemployee denies Moyes has cut down on West Ham leaks

But speaking on the latest West Ham Way podcast, ExWHUemployee claims that is simply not the case.

“What’s interesting is that (West Ham) Twitter is doing its usual at this time of the window when David Moyes hasn’t signed anyone it’s ‘Oh he’s cut the leaks, nobody knows about it’ (or) ‘Ex doesn’t have the same source that he used to have’,” ExWHUemployee said on The West Ham Way podcast (June 21st).

“It’s not that. I’ve already named (Thierry) Nevers and the Chelsea player that we signed, way before anyone else. And also I’m mentioning these players before they’re even out in the press.

“It’s not that the leaks are being cut. It’s just that we’re not doing any business right now.

‘It’s more Sullivan going on talkSPORT and Sky Sports Moyes would like cut’ says insider

“Yes obviously I think he (Moyes) would like some leaks to be cut – which is more David Sullivan going to talkSPORT or going to Sky Sports. But on the whole I think people just need to be a bit calm towards transfers.”

ExWHUemployee went on to say the club would not be able to cut off his leaks as he has several sources of information at West Ham.

And the anonymous Twitter and podcast personality says he runs quality checks by verifying information among them before presenting it to his fellow West Ham fans.

Moyes has four key priorities this summer.

The first is to try and sign Jesse Lingard. And he had some good news when the player himself finally spoke out on his future yesterday.

The Scot also needs to sign a striker with Ukraine star Roman Yaremchuk said to be a ‘concrete’ Hammers target.

Another key area is central defence with James Tarkowski among Moyes’s prime targets.
