West Ham have forced yet more unwanted Premier League history on bitter rivals Spurs following the derby win.
West Ham emerged 2-1 victors away at Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday night.
The result saw the Hammers close to within three points of Tottenham as Jarrod Bowen and James Ward-Prowse sealed a second half fightback.
Spurs had taken a first half lead through Cristian Romero’s header as West Ham surrendered to Ange Postecoglous’s swashbuckling style.
But those tactics looked naive when West Ham started performing to their capabilities in the second half.

West Ham force more unwanted history on Spurs
David Moyes and his Hammers side celebrated taking three points in front of over 3,000 fans at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
But the bragging rights in this particular fixture are worth just as much as the points for supporters.
And now West Ham fans have something else to goad their rivals about.
Because West Ham have forced yet more unwanted Premier League history on Spurs.
By coming from behind to beat Tottenham, West Ham have secured a new place for their fierce rivals in the Premier League history books.

Cherry on the icing on the cake – with sprinkles – for Hammers fans
Because the defeat saw Spurs set a new record of scoring first in five consecutive games and failing to win.
West Ham fans will no doubt relish their part in the rather ‘Spursy’ statistic they have inflicted on Tottenham.
Especially as they were the first team to ever beat Spurs at their new ground. And after the Hammers ensured the north Londoners became the first team in Premier League history not to win a game having lead by three plus goals as late as the 81st minute during that famous comeback in October 2020.
Let’s not mention stopping Tottenham from getting in the Champions League in the infamous lasagne-gate game.
Or the fact West Ham have won a major trophy in the 15 years Spurs have gone without any silverware.
That’s not a Premier League record of course but a fact West Ham fans will take great pride in.
