Callum Wilson scored a dramatic stoppage time winner for West Ham United against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Wilson showed his ‘fox-in-the-box’ instincts to tap home from close range and earn West Ham three valuable points against Tottenham.

After the game finished, Wilson shared his delight having scored the winner for West Ham.

Hammers boss Nuno Espirito Santo praised Wilson’s contribution against Tottenham as well.

The goal from the experienced striker came at the perfect time. However, could that goal be his final game for the club?

Wilson has been heavily linked with a West Ham exit over the past couple of weeks.

West Ham fans sent a Callum Wilson message to the board

Wilson’s goal was a huge one for the Hammers.

He was only on the pitch for two minutes before he scored, but the impact he had was a monumental one.

And the West Ham fans rightfully gave him his flowers after the game.

After the full-time whistle, Wilson went over to applaud the travelling Hammers fans.

And the West Ham fans returned the favour by serenading the 33-year-old, singing his name non-stop and making it very clear just how much they appreciated his contribution in north London.

That would have felt extremely satisfying for Wilson.

Hopefully he’s now given the platform by the club to go on and help keep them in the top flight.

West Ham fans serenading Wilson means one thing

The former Coventry City, Bournemouth and Newcastle United striker knows how to find the back of the net.

West Ham need goal-scorers right now, it’s as simple as that.

Nobody knows whether or not Taty Castellanos or Pablo Felipe will succeed with the Hammers.

Meanwhile, Wilson is proven at the very highest level of the game.

The 33-year-old is more than capable of scoring 8-10 goals over the final 16 Premier League games.

That kind of return could well keep the Hammers in the Premier League.

The West Ham fans made it very clear that they want Wilson to remain at the club, and now the board have to act.
