Adama Traore may yet come good as a West Ham United player, but some fans have not been particularly impressed thus far.
Traore joined West Ham United from Fulham over the course of the January transfer window, with Nuno Espirito Santo keen to work alongside the winger again.
Indeed, Hammers News understands that Nuno pushed for West Ham to sign Traore, having previously signed him from Wolves.
Still, and while these are early days in his career, Hammers fans have been left somewhat underwhelmed thus far.
Let’s hear it then – what have you made of Adama Traore so far? 🤔
It’s important to stress that he’s only been reduced to cameos thus far, but Hammers News got quite a telling response from our subscribers on TalkingPoints.
Asked to grade his performance so far, one fan wrote: “D. Completely lacking confidence. Had a few opportunities to take on defenders around the box and either fluffed his lines or bottled it. Lamadrid should have got a run!
Another added: “Bang average.”
One supporter added: “He’s been poor so far he needs to improve his fitness and finishing.”
“Was not impressed by Traore on his debut,” wrote another subscriber. “A seasoned veteran who just loses it at the drop of a hat is useless to us. That we do not need.”

Adama Traore does have some support from West Ham fans
The caveat that he’s hardly played any minutes always needs to be taken into account.
Indeed, perhaps he will come good at some point. Nuno thinks Traore can get back to his best at West Ham, and he’s certainly yielded some fine performances out of him before.
Over on our Facebook page, there were some positive responses.
“Give the fella a chance!” was one reply.
Another said: “Give him more minutes play, and then we can judge his performance.”
“Not going to set the world alight! But a useful squad player,” commented one fan.
What do YOU want to see in the FA Cup fourth round? 🏆
Or, 'who' do you want to see?
Adama Traore could be set for first West Ham start imminently
Traore could well be in line to start for the club as West Ham play Burton in the FA Cup on Saturday.
That should offer the chance to get to see him in full flow for once. Traore was a divisive signing at West Ham given his lack of end product at his previous clubs, but he has played well under Nuno before.
An FA Cup game against a League One outfit might not be that comparable to life in the Premier League but it would offer a better sample size.
Traore could feasibly play a big role in the battles to come. Saturday could be the start of a new beginning.
