Axel Disasi has seemingly made a quick-fire impression on West Ham United fans, many of whom now want to sign him permanently.

Disasi joined West Ham United on loan from Chelsea on Deadline Day earlier this month and has since made three appearances.

He’s been handed two full Premier League games thus far, as well as a 15-minute run-out in the FA Cup win over Burton Albion.

How impressed have you been with West Ham’s new man? 👏

And should we look to sign him permanently?

Indeed, Disasi has impressed West Ham fans already, with the Frenchman looking like a natural fit in Nuno Espirito Santo’s backline.

Clearly, much will depend on whether West Ham stay in the Premier League.

However, feeling positive about the relegation battle right now, Hammers News asked their subscribers across their TalkingPoints and Facebook platforms if they’d like to sign Disasi permanently.

The response was pretty unanimous.

West Ham United fans call on club to sign Axel Disasi permanently

You can sign up to TalkingPoints for free here. It’s a non-toxic community to discuss everything about the club.

Asked if West Ham should look to complete a permanent deal for the defender at the end of the season, one of our subscribers said: “Axel has been fantastic. His fitness doesn’t seem to be a problem which has been a huge +. Hopefully we can sign him if & when we stay up.”

Another added: “Hasn’t looked rusty at all and stepped straight into the team.

“Played well when we had backs against the wall against Burton in the final 15-20. Hoping this is just the signing our defence needed.”

Over on our Facebook page, one fan wrote: “Yes, I think he’s been a warrior so far.”

Another said: “Yes definitely, he suits West Ham.”

“Not the most technical but does the simple things very well sign him if we stay in the Premier League,” was another comment.

One supporter said: “Big yes. Looks solid.”

It should also be added that several fans were suggesting that it was still too early to tell what should happen with the Chelsea loanee.

How Axel Disasi is feeling about life at West Ham United

Hammers loans manager Carlton Cole recently revealed some interesting insight.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Cole revealed that he’d talked to Disasi about his mindset at West Ham.

Cole left that chat feeling positive about Disasi’s attitude, and described the former Monaco defender as a “proper soldier.”

That is particularly notable because Disasi initially rejected a move to West Ham in 2025.

It is very difficult to imagine a scenario in which the France international signs on a permanent basis if West Ham are relegated.

If they avoid that, however, then perhaps it’s one to revisit by the time the summer transfer window rolls around.
