Head of recruitment Max Hahn left West Ham United in the days following their relegation from the Premier League.
The Dresden-born 30-year-old arrived at the London Stadium during the reign of compatriot Tim Steidten in 2024. Hahn worked as West Ham’s head of recruitment, having initially been appointed their head of technical scouting.
The Athletic reported that West Ham United tried to convince Hahn to stay, with little luck.
What are your immediate thoughts as Paco Jemez leaves West Ham? 👀
I'm gutted!
Paco Jemez currently appears unlikely to return for next season as well, having worked as Nuno Espirito Santo’s assistant for the second half of last term.
Further claims out of Italy now suggest that another member of the club’s recruitment team may also be heading for the exit; Antonio Tramontano.
West Ham United scout Antonio Tramontano targeted by Cremonese

A 37-year-old from Napoli, Tramontano joined West Ham’s scouting staff in 2025. He worked previously at Serie A outfit Fiorentina, as well as at Lugano in Switzerland and TJ Quanjian in China.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, a return to Italy is now likely to present itself.
Cremonese, like West Ham, suffered relegation from the top-flight last month despite the best efforts of an evergreen Jamie Vardy. TMW claim that Tramontano is one of two frontrunners to be appointed as the sporting director at the Stadio Giovanni Zini.

Middlesbrough's Kieran Scott has been linked…
Middlesbrough’s Kieran Scott could move to the London Stadium
A sporting director position would obviously be a step up from Tramotano’s role as a scout at the London Stadium.
After Hahn, his potential departure may force West Ham to speed up their own restructuring plans behind the scenes.
Middlesbrough chief Kieran Scott is reportedly the leading contender to become West Ham’s director of football. An experienced operator with plenty of Championship nous could prove invaluable. Scott has a mixed track record at Middlesbrough – last season’s beaten play-off finalists – but he did pull off a host of impressive transfer coups.
Chief among them, the £1 million deal which brought Morgan Rogers to the Riverside from Manchester City.
