West Ham reportedly could sign Moussa Dembele on a free transfer in the summer transfer window, with Aston Villa in the race as well.

According to Ignazio Genuardi, Moussa Dembele is on the radars of both West Ham and Aston Villa ahead of the summer transfer window.

The French centre-forward is out of contract with Lyon this summer, and will be available for absolutely nothing. Moyes actually wanted to bring Dembele to the Hammers two years ago.

So it will be no surprise at all if West Ham are back in the hunt for him now, especially considering the fact that he won’t cost the club anything in transfer fees.

And it seems as though the East London outfit are on track to bring the 26-year-old hitman back to Britain…

West Ham eyeing superb freebie ahead of summer transfer window

Lyon striker Moussa Dembele is seemingly set for an exit from the Groupama Stadium with his contract due to expire at the end of next month.

Football journalist Ignazio Genuardi believes that the Hammers and Villa are both ‘on track’ to sign the free-scoring former Celtic ace on a free transfer this summer.

He tweeted:

I think that West Ham signing Moussa Dembele on a free in the summer transfer window would be a really sensible move from the club.

The Frenchman is still only 26, and has bagged 152 goals in 352 career appearances for the likes of Fulham, Celtic and Lyon.

David Moyes will undoubtedly be on the look-out for a new centre-forward at the end of this season with Gianluca Scamacca, Michail Antonio and Danny Ings all facing fairly uncertain futures at the London Stadium.

And bringing Moussa Dembele to the London Stadium on a free in the summer transfer window really would be fantastic business for the club.
