West Ham United could replace David Moyes with a Champions League winning manager it seems.

David Moyes is still under intense pressure in his role as West Ham United manager, with the likes of Paulo Fonseca allegedly being lined up to replace him.

The Hammers boss built up some much-needed credit in the bank with consecutive Premier League wins against Brentford and Everton respectively.

However, last night’s defeat to Freiburg piled that pressure right back onto the Scot’s shoulders. And if he was offered a new contract now, it would be a huge surprise.

One name persistently being linked with the West Ham manager’s job is Thomas Tuchel, with the German an alleged target for the Hammers after it emerged that he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

And now it seems as though the German really is very much on the West Ham radar…

West Ham could replace Moyes with Champions League winner

According to a report from Give Me Sport, the Hammers could now ‘explore’ whether it will be possible to bring the German to the London Stadium.

I truly believe that the 50-year-old would be a major upgrade on Moyes.

Whatever people say, he was a success at Stamford Bridge. He won the Champions League during his time with the Blues and had his team competing with Premier League juggernauts Manchester City and Liverpool for large parts of the season.

He favours a possession-based system with a front three who are always interchanging positions. If you need evidence of the quality of football that Tuchel is capable of implementing, just watch a video of Chelsea dismantling Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in April 2022.

He is box-office and not only would he be able to get the best out of our current stars, but he would also be able attract very big names to the club.

If West Ham replace the Scot with the German we’ll be a much better team, it really is as simple as that.
