The Manchester United owned ace joined the Hammers on loan last month until the end of the season.

And Lingard has already proven to be a huge hit at the London Stadium.

The 24-capped England international has scored two goals in three games for West Ham so far (Transfermarkt). He also won the penalty which Declan Rice subsequently tucked away to put us 1-0 up against Sheffield United last night.

David Moyes has one criticism of Jesse Lingard

Lingard has incredible energy and quality in possession. His determination and drive has been really impressive and he has already proven to be a real coup for the Hammers.

David Moyes outlined one area where Lingard could improve, however, as quoted by Football.London:

“I thought some of Jesse’s stuff tonight was great. He gave us a great outlet, there were one of two times when he could have released the ball a little bit quicker and we could have had more opportunities but he has definitely helped us.”

David Moyes is a very harsh taskmaster. That’s what has made him such a success since taking over at West Ham.

He will know deep down just how good Jesse Lingard has been since his move to the London Stadium, however.

Highlighting an area where the 28-year-old can improve is a shrewd move from Moyes. It will hopefully help Lingard raise his levels even further still.

And when the summer comes around, let’s just hope that we can sign him up permanently!
