West Ham United attacker Nikola Vlasic allegedly could be set for a summer exit to either Torino or Hajduk Split before the start of next season.
That’s according to a report from Dalmatinski who claim that Hammers boss David Moyes is willing to let the 24-year-old leave the London Stadium this summer.
Although it is stated that a loan exit this summer is apparently more likely for the West Ham attacker.
Vlasic joined the Hammers from CSKA Moscow last summer for around £33 million (Evening Standard).
The 24-year-old has really struggled to establish himself at the London Stadium but in all fairness to him, he hasn’t really been given much of a chance to prove himself in the Claret and Blue.
The 39-capped Croatia international was given just 1637 minutes spread over 36 appearances last term (Transfermarkt). That works out at an average of just 45 minutes per game.
Vlasic clearly hasn’t impressed David Moyes so far on the pitch. And the Scot appears to have made his mind up on the former CSKA Moscow play-maker…
West Ham attacker set for summer exit
Dalmatinski claims that Torino and Hajduk Split both want to sign Vlasic in the summer transfer window.
A loan move could well be on the cards for the Croatian according to Dalmatinski and we think that could be a wise move for both the player and the club.
Vlasic looks totally unsuited to Premier League football. What I will say though is that he wasn’t played in his correct position once by Moyes last season.
The 24-year-old is a natural number 10 and does most of his best work when deployed right in behind the main striker.
The former CSKA Moscow man lacks any kind of pace, so he isn’t suited to playing out wide, yet Moyes utilised him on the left or right wing every time.
Something’s not right. Vlasic clearly didn’t impress the Hammers boss in training otherwise he would have played more regularly last season.
And if the West Ham attacker is set for a summer exit from the London Stadium, the East London outfit might just be better off selling him rather than loaning him out.
Vlasic didn’t show any promise whatsoever last year. And he now just seems like a really strange signing from Moyes last summer.
If West Ham do get rid of Vlasic this summer though, the Croatian’s exit would surely see Moyes bring another attacker through the door. The Scot needs to bolster our squad not weaken it!
