Football – like any team sport – is all about connections. Having strong ones forms the basis of any successful side and West Ham are a case in point.
Whether that’s the connection and team spirit between the manager, his staff and the players or between the fans and the team.
For West Ham those connections have all been positive and strong for the most part since David Moyes returned to the club nearly four years ago.
Close bond between Kudus and Paqueta bodes very well indeed
Most important, though, are the connections between the players – on and off the pitch.
And in that regard there are really encouraging signs for Moyes and Hammers fans.

There is no denying Kudus and Paqueta – along with Jarrod Bowen – are West Ham’s best and most valuable stars.
Connections the key to any successful team

In footage posted on West Ham’s social media channels, Paqueta and Kudus are seen training closely together.
And the Brazil ace has his arm around Kudus as they engage in conversation – hopefully about how they plan to dismantle Olympiacos and Nottingham Forest this week.
Oh to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.
Paqueta and fellow Brazil-born star Emerson are usually inseparable. So it’s great to see the Hammers talisman getting close to Kudus too.
Interestingly, when Kudus was in talks to join West Ham, he sought reassurances that he would get to play with Paqueta.
The midfield duo have the potential to form one of the most mesmeric partnerships in the Premier League.
Let’s hope this close connection off the pitch translates into some special moments on it.
