The West Ham manager desperately needs to bring in a top-class forward to compete with and provide more cover for Michail Antonio.
And the Hammers could do a lot worse than Nice star Gouiri. What an unbelievable player he is.

Gouiri has pace in abundance, unbelievable movement and is a constant menace for opposing defenders. And he clearly has truly incredible technical ability has well…
Amine Gouiri produces stunning skill for Nice during Coupe de France win
The 22-year-old scored and provided an assist for Nice during their 2-0 win over Versailles in the Coupe de France semi-final clash last night.
It was his assist that really caught the eye though.
Gouiri produced this bit of magic with the score at 1-0, teeing up Kasper Dolberg to slot home and subsequently end Versailles’ hopes of a potential comeback:
What more can you say apart from Wow!
This young player clearly has something very special about him.
He would be a truly sensational addition for West Ham United in the summer.
Whether the Hammers board will be prepared to part with nearly £40 million for his services remains to be seen though.
And more to the point, we could face competition from the likes of AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle for Gouiri’s signature in the summer (Calciomercato.it).
So West Ham certainly won’t have things all our own way in the race to sign the sensational 22-year-old forward.
