Video shows Pablo Fornals scoring a stunner on his full Real Betis debut after leaving West Ham – and fans are thinking the same thing.
West Ham and Pablo Fornals shared an emotional parting of the ways last week as the midfielder was sold to Real Betis.
The Spaniard called time on his Hammers career in typically classy fashion – sitting down to deliver a video message to supporters in which he appeared to be fighting back tears.
After poor performances on the pitch – saving possibly his worst until last in the draw with Sheffield United – Fornals confirmed his cult hero status with his fitting farewell.
West Ham fans are keen to see how their former favourite does now back in Spain.

Fans think same thing as Fornals scores stunner
And it was as inevitable as death, taxes and night following day that he would instantly shine.
Fans think the same thing as video shows Fornals score a stunner after leaving West Ham.
Obviously. Of course he did.
You love to see it. But West Ham fans are all thinking and saying the same thing.
The Estrella drinking, paella eating former Hammer picked up the ball outside the box on the right hand side during Betis’ away trip to Cadiz.

As inevitable as death and taxes
Fornals produces a bit of skill to jink inside before curling a left-footed effort around a defender and beautifully into the corner. You can see it in the post below.
It helped secure a 2-0 win which moved former West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini’s side up to sixth in the La Liga table.
It is great to see much-loved Fornals get off to a flying start – even if it is tinged with some sadness.
But most Hammers supporters are of one mind about the goal.
Where has that kind of skill and finishing been in a West Ham shirt!?

Where has that been?
We know he can be capable. And of course he scored some excellent goals for West Ham including that strike which helped seal the club’s place in the Europa Conference League final.
But West Ham fans have become used to Fornals being very wasteful in front of goal, often miss-hitting or not quite connecting with his shots when in excellent scoring positions.
So much so he was seen training on his own trying to improve his finishing last season.
Another very noticeable thing is the amount of time and space Fornals has on the ball.
We all know the Premier League is the best and toughest in the world.
But this proves it as Fornals would never get that kind of time and space with very little pressure on the ball – especially on the egde of the box – in England.
The style and pace of La Liga will suit the Cockney Carzola much better.
And West Ham fans will be celebrating his new found happiness with him all the way from east London.
