Troy Deeney just proved he does not know anything with his latest West Ham comments

Troy Deeney has once again been speaking about West Ham and the former Premier League striker appears to be out of his depth.

His assertions do not seem to hold any weight and he seems to be talking just for the sake of it without considering the facts.

Recently, he made a comparison between West Ham and Wolves, who sit in 20th place, and are on course to have the worst Premier League season ever.

Troy Deeney admits he would love to play against West Ham

Deeney, post his retirement, has entered punditry and is known for speaking his mind on multiple platforms.

Recently, he spoke about which side he would like to play against if he comes out of retirement.

The former Watford forward has not played professional football for two years and would undoubtedly be sluggish.

Without any hesitation, he mentioned West Ham and stated that even though they will avoid relegation, they are nowhere near good enough.

He said: “Listen, I haven’t played football for two years, if you were to say to me what is the one team, you can come back for one game and pick one team to play against, West Ham, they are so ****, they will stay up, but they are so ****.”

“The reason I would pick them, if I came back for one game against Wolves, and I didn’t score four, everyone would be fuming, but I look at West Ham, it’s good players, a good manager, they will be safe.”

Premier League results say an entirely different story

While the Hammers are in the relegation zone, they have improved considerably under Nuno Espirito Santo.

In the last five Premier League games, West Ham have lost just once and even that was against the defending champions Liverpool.

They have secured results away to Bournemouth and Manchester United – places where they would have expected to come back empty-handed.

Beating Burnley 3-2 proved that they’re also capable of securing three points against the teams that are around them.

Deeney appears to be absolutely clueless when he speaks about the Hammers, as he is failing to consider all these factors.

Fans will be hoping that West Ham can secure the three points against Brighton and hopefully, make him eat his words.
