Tim Steidten and David Moyes have been pictured deep in conversation before the latest West Ham loss at Nottingham Forest.
It has become a regular sight before West Ham games that technical director Tim Steidten chats with manager David Moyes pitchside.
Quite what the pair discuss outside transfer windows is anyone’s guess.
And whether Moyes welcomes the German’s presence is another thing.

Steidten and Moyes pictured deep in conversation
Steidten is undoubtedly a conduit between Moyes and the West Ham board.
So it’s likely he chats to Moyes about the team and strategy and Steidten feeds the information back to the likes of David Sullivan and co in the director’s box.
The pressure is mounting on Moyes.
And reports have abound that Sullivan will be giving Steidten full control over choosing the Scot’s successor should he depart.

Pictures suggest no rift between duo
But while only Steidten and Moyes will know whether any awkwardness exists, nobody can suggest – as they have done to ridiculous extremes in the past – the pair don’t get on.
Because Steidten and Moyes were pictured deep in conversation before the latest West Ham loss.
Cameras at the Premier League clash captured the two together in official photos for the first time.
And they appear to be getting along just fine.

Oh to be a fly on their shoulders
A report last week claimed Moyes was at loggerheads with Steidten and sporting director Mark Noble over a January window deal for Ibrahim Osman.
If that is true there doesn’t seem to be any grudges held or bitterness on the basis of these images.
It was claimed in January that Moyes pushed to sign Kalvin Phillips when Steidten and co were not convinced.
But the German recently backed Phillips to be a leader and come good at West Ham.
