Thilo Kehrer transfer claim made just 16 months into his West Ham career

West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer is being linked with a move away from West Ham already, having been at the London Stadium for only 16 months.

Eintracht Frankfurt are already working on deal to sign West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer, according to a report from SportBILD.

The Hammers signed the 27-year-old for around £13 million from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2022 (The Sun).

It would be no surprise to see Kehrer leave the Hammers, he has already been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.

And now Eintracht Frankfurt have joined the race to sign the 27-capped Germany international it seems.

He has fallen well down the right-back and centre-back pecking order under David Moyes this season, with just 371 minutes action in all competitions to his name, with only 18 minutes coming in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

Kehrer’s time as a Hammer could now be coming to an end…

Thilo Kehrer linked with West Ham exit

Sport Bild claim that Eintracht Frankfurt have already opened talks to sign the former PSG man in the January transfer window.

Kehrer has failed to establish himself at the London Stadium, and Moyes moving him on in January would surprise nobody at all.

The German doesn’t seem to have the concentration levels, decision making ability and focus needed to succeed in the Premier League.

He’s far too rash in the tackle as well, so a return to his homeland may well be the perfect scenario for him this winter.

It is suggested that Frankfurt would prefer a loan deal for Thilo Kehrer in January, but it’s unclear as to whether West Ham will be willing to play ball.

Even if the German doesn’t leave the club next month, I can’t envisage a scenario whereby he remains in East London beyond the end of the summer transfer window.
