Simon Jordan has called out Aston Villa’s unacceptable performance against Tottenham on Sunday night.
The Villans lost 2–1 at home to a relegation-threatened Spurs team who had won just one Premier League game in 2026.
This victory saw Tottenham climb to 17th in the league table, with West Ham falling back into the bottom three.
Jordan shared sympathy for the Hammers after Unai Emery’s side let them down with their dismal display at Villa Park.

Simon Jordan ‘felt sorry for’ West Ham after Aston Villa performance vs Spurs
Villa manager Unai Emery decided to make several changes to his starting XI with one eye on the Europa League.
They face Nottingham Forest in the semi-final second leg on Thursday evening, needing to overcome a 1-0 deficit.
The likes of Ollie Watkins, Lucas Digne and Ezri Konsa were all left out, but there was still plenty of quality on the pitch.
However, Villa were terrible throughout the match, as Emi Buendia’s 96th-minute goal was their only shot on target.
Nuno still feels positive about West Ham’s chances – but do YOU?
Jordan now insists West Ham have every right to feel aggrieved by Villa’s lacklustre performance in a high-stakes game.
“They were shocking! I’m not saying this because I’ve got a dog in the fight or an axe to grind,” Jordan ranted on talkSPORT.
“They’re just cheats. They’ve cheated the paying public out of a performance. I think it’s an appalling way to play. I think everyone else is entitled to have your best performance in a league.
“I felt sorry for West Ham. If I were a West Ham player or fan watching at home, I’d have been screaming at the television.”
Indeed, West Ham fans were angry with Villa for effectively gifting Tottenham a massive three points in the relegation battle.
As Jordan highlighted, the game could have been the difference between the Hammers staying up or going down.
“Spurs will probably stay in the league as a result,” the former Crystal Palace owner concluded.
