West Ham striker Taty Castellanos has shown he is serious about getting West Ham back into the Premier League with a post on social media.

West Ham believe they can keep a core of key players despite relegation to the Championship – and Valentin ‘Taty’ Castellanos is one of them.

Daniel Kretinsky’s meetings with key Hammers stars went well and the club believe the likes of Argentine striker Taty will remain with the club in the second tier.

Taty shows his commitment to West Ham

Taty could and should have scored more goals for West Ham after he arrived for a sizeable £27m fee from Lazio in the January window.

While he was not prolific, and never has been, Taty was almost single-handedly to thank for West Ham’s upturn in performances and results on the pitch with his work-rate, running, pressing and all-round positive attitude.

Turf Moor is a tough start…

Many Hammers fans feel keeping Castellanos in the Championship would help guarantee West Ham promotion back to the big time. Especially if the likes of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek stay too.

Given how lively Taty can be and the lower standard of defences, it would not be a stretch to suggest he might score 20-25 goals next season if he stays at the London Stadium.

In the wake of relegation, reports emerged claiming the forward had no intention of playing in the second tier.

But Taty appeared to commit his future to West Ham in a post on social media since.

Although fans have been worried about interest in Castellanos from David Moyes at Everton.

Taty’s dedication bodes well for West Ham

Now Taty has proved how serious he is about getting West Ham back into the Premier League with a video on his socials.

The 27-year-old has shared a video online showing him looking fit and ready for the new campaign by doing a high intensity workout in the gym.

Back from a safari holiday in South Africa, Taty does a series of exercises in the video on his Instagram Stories.

Taty’s profile picture remains him walking out onto the pitch in a Hammers track top and his bio reflects that too.

His commitment off the pitch clearly matches his commitment on it if this video is anything to go by.

West Ham’s players who were not involved in any international matches in June or the World Cup will return to training for pre-season next week.

Taty will be among the fittest based on his video and Hammers fans will be hoping he sticks around to blast the east Londoners back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
