When stunning claims emerged about the future of West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen from a celebrity gossip magazine this week there were doubts over its validity – until now.
Heat Magazine is the go-to source for all things celebrity and showbiz but this week their focused turned to West Ham and skipper Jarrod Bowen.
Bowen has been linked with a host of top clubs including Chelsea since the Hammers were relegated from the Premier League.
During interviews in the immediate aftermath of West Ham’s demotion to the Championship, the captain suggested he wanted to stay and help get the club back in the top flight.
Gossip magazine’s stunning Bowen claim backed up by journalist
Bowen appeared to change tune on his West Ham future in a statement on social media since, where he was rather conspicuously non-committal.
In an exclusive statement to Hammers News since, West Ham made a bold claim they hope Bowen stays in the wake of relegation.
If Jarrod Bowen signs for Chelsea, how would it affect his West Ham legacy? 🤔⚒️
Some transfers are easier to accept than others… 👀
But speculation has been rife Bowen wants to continue in the Premier League with clubs from Liverpool to Newcastle and Aston Villa also being linked with the Hammers’ talisman.
There has been a huge twist in the last 24 hours, though.

Because stunning claims over Bowen’s West Ham future have been backed up by a journalist with strong connections inside the club.
Having a reality TV star as your wife lends itself to being written about in the gossip columns.
So when Heat World claimed Bowen wants to stay at West Ham after conversations with wife Dani Dyer, fans were enthused but took it with a pinch of salt.
Journalist says Bowen has told West Ham he wants to stay
“Sources close to Bowen say he wants to stay, he’s devastated and never been like this before,” Heat World reported.
“It’s been one of the worst weeks of Dani and Jarrod’s lives, says a source.
What are you most looking forward to about the 2026/27 Championship season? 👀
New signings? Millwall clashes? Youngsters getting a chance? No VAR? Or something else? ⚒️
“Dani is doing her best to try to make things better, but he’s absolutely devastated. She’s never seen him like this.
“Jarrod will be 30 this year, and this was probably his last chance to go to a World Cup. And although he does want to stay at West Ham, he doesn’t know what the future holds.”

Hammers fans who doubted the claims will be hugely encouraged by the fact reporter Jack Rosser has backed them up.
West Ham fan Rosser, who used to report on the club for The Evening Standard before moving to The Sun, has strong contacts in the corridors of power at the London Stadium.
And he has reported that Bowen has indeed stated his desire to stay and bring the club back up to the Premier League.
Rosser also reports that West Ham have told clubs interested in their captain that they fully intend to keep him for next season.
As a form of loyalty bonus, Bowen’s £150k per week wages will not be cut like those of many other players, despite the club’s relegation.
