West Ham United face a vitally important summer transfer window ahead.
Graham Potter is planning a big squad rebuild at the London Stadium this summer.
The current West Ham squad is an incredibly unbalanced and ageing one, and more pace and genuine quality is needed in the attacking department.
Potter has a lot of mess to clean up after some of the woeful transfer business conducted by Tim Steidten, Julen Lopetegui and David Moyes before him.

However, the one big advantage the Hammers head coach does have is that numerous top-class young stars will return to the London Stadium from loan spells this summer.
And one of them in particular is dreaming of coming back and making a big impact with West Ham.
Callum Marshall says he’s desperate to play for West Ham
West Ham allowed Callum Marshall to join Huddersfield Town on loan in the summer of 2024.
He only played 10 minutes for the West Ham first-team before joining the Terriers, but he did score 51 goals in 69 games for the club’s under-18s and under-21s.
Back in January of last year, former Hammers boss David Moyes absolutely raved about Marshall.
He definitely has something about him, but is he good enough to play at the very highest level of the game?
Marshall has spoken about his loan spell with Huddersfield, as quoted by The Athletic:

“The main thing was to come here, have an impact and gain experience.“
Marshall then went on to share his future ambitions:
“I just want to use this loan spell to push on for when I go back to West Ham this summer. There’s a new manager (Graham Potter) and hopefully he’ll get a good look at me and see what he thinks.”
“Everything is up for grabs so it’s about me going back and making a good impression. There are opportunities for young players at the club now. West Ham have a good record at bringing youngsters through. When I go back, hopefully I can make more appearances.“
Marshall has bagged nine goals and four assist in 36 games for Huddersfield this season (Transfermarkt).
His loan spell at the John Smith’s Stadium will definitely be a big learning curve for him.
However, the jump up from League One to the Premier League is a truly enormous one.
If I’m being honest, I don’t think Callum Marshall will make it with West Ham.
I hope I’m wrong though.
