West Ham United have reportedly agreed a deal to sell Harrison Ashby to Newcastle United for just £3 million.
That’s according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth who claims that the Hammers have included a sell-on clause into the deal and the 21-year-old is set to head to Newcastle to undergo a medical.

That really is bad news for West Ham. Ashby is a real talent and we should have tied him down to a long-term deal some time ago.

That doesn’t make it any easier to accept though. Ashby will go on to become a real star in the game – there is no doubt about that in my mind.
Newcastle agree Harrison Ashby deal
The 21-year-old right-back is set to leave the London Stadium for St James’s Park.
This one has been in the pipeline for quite some time now.
The deal is said to be worth around £3 million including add-ons but interestingly, West Ham have included a sell-on clause according to Sky Sports journalist Dharmesh Sheth:
The only good news about this is that we have included a sell-on clause in the deal.
Still though, I am absolutely fuming that Ashby was not tied down to a new deal sooner. He was our best right-back as far as I’m concerned!
The 21-year-old is an elite player in the making. And we have let an outstanding talent go for a nominal fee because of really poor future planning.
It will be interesting to see how Harrison Ashby gets on at Newcastle but very painful at the same time.
