Simon Jordan paints bleak picture for West Ham United fans in brutal Nuno verdict

Simon Jordan believes Nuno Espirito Santo should remain in place at West Ham United – but that was hardly the ringing endorsement it might initially sound like.

It would be fair to say that the Nuno experiment at West Ham United is yet to have worked out.

The 51-year-old has claimed only three wins in 17 games since replacing Graham Potter as Hammers boss in September and his side currently sit seven points from safety in the Premier League table.

Be honest; how would YOU feel if West Ham swapped Nuno for Thomas Frank?

The Spurs boss has come in for huge criticism…

As such, there have been questions over Nuno’s future at West Ham.

Former Crystal Palace owner Jordan believes he should remain in situ, although for a relatively bleak reason.

Simon Jordan thinks Nuno is the best manager West Ham can get right now

Jordan was previewing West Ham’s game against Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday.

When asked about the pressure Nuno is under ahead of a return to another of his former sides in Spurs, Jordan suggested that the ex-Wolves boss is still the best manager West Ham could get in their current situation.

He told talkSPORT: “I don’t see what they get [that’s] better.”

“Even if they lose to Spurs, I don’t think it’s existential jeopardy for Nuno.”

How many more signings do we need to make for you to feel confident about staying up?! 🤔

Still an awful lot of work to do…

The major problem West Ham face over Nuno’s future right now

To an extent, Jordan is right, when speaking about the current state of play.

West Ham are a brilliant club and will always attract a certain level of manager, even despite the concerns about the ownership.

As of right now, however, it’s hard to see many big-name managers wanting to join mid-season during a relegation scrap if they are already in work.

Obviously, the club could feasibly turn to the free agent market but there are not many compelling names out there right now, at least not ones who would realistically jump at the chance to get back into work at this version of West Ham.

Nuno is getting support at West Ham but it remains to be seen just how long that lasts going forward.
