Nuno Espirito Santo now looks to be on the brink of being sacked at West Ham following a damning new leak from the club’s hierarchy.
The new revelations will only pour more fuel on an already volatile situation, raising serious questions about trust, authority and whether the Hammers boss still retains meaningful backing behind the scenes.
Spoiler alert – it appears he doesn’t.
Nuno Espirito Santo is skating on increasingly thin ice at West Ham United.
The Hammers have now gone 10 games without a win under the Portuguese – that is more than a quarter of a season.
It leaves the club staring almost certain relegation from the Premier League in the face barring a miraculous turnaround.
Nuno on the brink at West Ham after damning new leak
West Ham would have to go from winning just three of their 21 games so far this season to winning almost every other game to stay up.
With one of the worst defences in the country, that seems a fanciful idea.
Out of 10, how CONFIDENT are you that Nuno can still save West Ham?
Beating QPR in the FA Cup is a start…
Especially against the backdrop of rising tensions between Nuno and those both beneath and above him at the London Stadium.
West Ham’s board took a strong stance on claims the players dislike Nuno, stating it is proving unhelpful for morale.
The revelation that Nuno is losing the support of the dressing room emerged amid a tense back-and-forth between the manager and the owners over transfers heading into the January window.

Nuno was summoned to a West Ham board meeting after a decision on his future following the latest defeat to relegation rivals Forest.
He was told he was safe for now but that the situation was very much in the balance with West Ham effectively eight points adrift of safety.
An alleged leak from Nuno’s camp suggests he is open to returning to Wolves.
The reason Nuno has been so difficult to work with at West Ham has also been revealed by a journalist with close knowledge of the manager’s situation.
After claim and counter claim over his position, though, it seems the writing may now be on the wall.

West Ham owners unhappy with Nuno behaviour as sack looms
The Hammers boss has caused a stir – and some debate – among fans with his behaviour after the latest defeats to his former clubs Wolves and Forest.
After the Wolves debacle, Nuno went straight down the tunnel without acknowledging West Ham’s loyal travelling fans.
Imagine you are Nuno – What is the FIRST thing you are doing to save your job?
Nuno apologised and said it was wrong of him but admitted he was so embarrassed by the result he wanted to get off the pitch as soon as possible.
After the Hammers threw away a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Forest, Nuno went on the pitch but caused just as much controversy.
He was seen smiling and embracing a host of Forest players.

That has gone down like a lead balloon with West Ham chief David Sullivan and the Hammers board according to Guardian journalist Jacob Steinberg.
The reporter claims the Hammers hierarchy are already seriously unimpressed by Nuno and his tactics since he replaced Graham Potter.
And he states that Nuno’s behaviour with the Forest players did not sit well with Sullivan and co, who are now seriously contemplating sacking the Portuguese.
Steinberg says figures within the club were ‘dismayed to see Nuno smiling at full time and embracing some of his old players’.
Journalist delivers more Nuno revelations from inside West Ham
West Ham’s top brass are also reportedly increasingly unimpressed with the Portuguese’s tactics and did not like his demeanour after their latest defeat.
Steinberg’s revelations get worse still.
Not only is Sullivan, the majority owner and main decision-maker, unhappy with Nuno but staff and players are feeling ‘increasingly demoralised’ with the mood at Rush Green described as ‘low’.
Steinberg claims one of the club’s big hang-ups about sacking Nuno is their reluctance to pay the Portuguese a severance.
But Hammers News understands Nuno agreed to a clause which meant he could be sacked this season without a pay-out.
