Nuno Espirito Santo has united the West Ham fanbase, according to pundit Simon Jordan.

While West Ham fans continue protests against the club’s ownership, there’s little doubt that everyone is now singing from the same hymn sheet when it comes to supporting the team.

Indeed, it feels a very long time ago now when West Ham fans booed Nuno Espirito Santo following a draw at home with Brighton back in December

Things are looking up, and they are in control of their own destiny with four games left in the Premier League this season.

Jordan has been impressed with the improved atmosphere among Hammers fans.

Jordan comments on improved West Ham United fan atmosphere under Nuno

Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Crystal Palace owner said: “Look at this West Ham fan base now. Fully behind their team, fully behind their manager. They’re becoming the 12th man. You can’t ask for anything more from the manager than what he’s done.”

The work that Nuno has done deserve credit. It has taken a while for him to turn things around, but it feels like there is genuine unity between the manager, the players and the supporters.

While that clearly isn’t quantifiable, it has a huge impact on the relegation battle.

The noise inside the London Stadium – a venue not always noted for its atmosphere to say the least – when Callum Wilson scored a late winner against Everton was quite something.

Nuno praises West Ham fans for improving atmosphere

Speaking after West Ham’s win over Everton, head coach Nuno told West Ham United TV: “When you hear the noise from the fans, it shows the respect that we have for and from them. We cannot thank them enough.

“I insist we have two more games here at London Stadium. We’re going to prepare for Brentford, but we know the energy that we have here at London Stadium.

“We hope it continues as we know how important is the home factor in the Premier League. Everybody knows that.”

The fact there are two home games remaining is significant. While no one would expect West Ham to win away at Arsenal, the fact that the Gunners are making the short trip down to east London makes it a slightly more level playing field.

They will no doubt be nervous amid their bid for the Premier League title, and perhaps West Ham can act on it.

Then, it all comes down to the final day, a showdown at home against Leeds. The noise could be deafening.
