Furious West Ham fans made their feelings clear towards Nuno Espirito Santo at the London Stadium as relegation fears deepened with the team twice throwing away the lead yet again in a draw with Brighton.
Brighton even tried to help West Ham’s pathetic defence out by missing a penalty when Danny Welbeck tried a Panenka which hit the bar.
The Hammers are truly awful, as their woeful points tally of 14 from the first half of the season has proved.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side couldn’t keep a clean sheet if their lives depended on it.
Well West Ham’s Premier League lives do very much depend on it and with the second worst defence in the top flight, the Hammers are looking all but down.
Woeful West Ham take another step towards relegation
A draw was a point gained on Nottingham Forest but the Hammers are still effectively five adrift of safety and haven’t had a win for eight games.
Speculation has been rife over Nuno’s future this week with claims the owners are disappointed by his failure to get better performances and results from his side.
Who stood out the most for you during West Ham 2-2 Brighton?
Tell us why!
West Ham have thrown away nine points from winning positions in the last eight matches.
Had they held on, the Irons would now be sat level on points with 15th placed Bournemouth.
The reality is West Ham had to beat Fulham and Brighton at home to give themselves a realistic chance of staying up.
But the team came away with just one point and relegation now looks almost certain unless the club can pull off some stunning signings who hit the ground running in January.

Nuno has inherited a woeful squad and team from Graham Potter.
However, the Portuguese has not helped himself with some bizarre team selections and decisions.
One of those has been playing without a recognised striker by leaving his only senior forward Callum Wilson on the bench of late.
Having Wilson on the bench against Fulham cost West Ham dear as a host of gilt-edged chances went begging.
West Ham meltdown as furious fans turn on Nuno
The head coach finally saw sense by starting Wilson against Brighton and it made a big difference to how effective West Ham were in attack.
But any goodwill he earned with that decision was soon undone.
What do you think about Callum Wilson RETURNING to the West Ham XI?
And would you keep the faith with Ollie Scarles?
Because another West Ham meltdown saw furious fans turn on Nuno at the London Stadium.
West Ham’s defending was once again atrocious.
Alphonse Areola has been brilliant of late but once again flapped at a corner, making it 11 goals conceded from them so far this season, well on course to break the all-time Premier League record of 16 with half a season to go.

Max Kilman underlined his reputation as one of the worst defenders in West Ham history with another meek, limp display.
But Nuno infuriated supporters with his actions just after the hour mark.
Boos rang out when Nuno decided to substitute Wilson off with the score at 2-2 and West Ham in desperate need of a win.
Chants were then directed at the head coach as frustration boiled over in the stands.
Wilson looked totally unimpressed too as he shook his head leaving the field.
Crysencio Summerville came on but Hammers fans wanted to see the manager go for it by leaving Wilson on too.
That’s not the West Ham way Nuno
Nuno said that he wanted to learn about and play the West Ham way when he first arrived.
Well starting without a striker in a must-win home game against a depleted Fulham side and then bringing off your only striker when drawing at home in another must-win game against Brighton is certainly not the ‘West Ham way’.
Sections of the London Stadium crowd chanted ‘You don’t know what you’re doing’ at Nuno for the Wilson sub.
Hammers supporters will just have to hope he will know what he is doing if and when he gets his own players in the door in January.
Although the way things are going, which decent player in their right mind is going to want to join a club who now look nailed on for the drop.
