A rival Dutch club has taken extreme action against AZ Alkmaar after the disgraceful West Ham attack this week.
While UEFA bigwigs dawdle over responding to the ugly scenes which marred West Ham’s win over AZ Alkmaar, one of the Dutch club’s rivals has lead by example.
When Pablo Fornals struck late on to seal West Ham’s place in a first European final for 47 years, it sparked wild celebrations among everyone connected with the club.
But it also lit the blue touch paper for some moronic AZ fans who tried to attack the loved ones of West Ham players and staff in the main stand.
A large group of hooded – and some balaclava-clad – imbeciles tried to storm the section where the family and friends of West Ham’s players and staff were situated after Fornals put the tie to bed.

They didn’t bank on meeting West Ham man mountain ‘Knollsy’ – pictured at the top of this article – and others who kept the limp AZ attack at bay just as David Moyes’ team had on the pitch.
The appalling policing and stewarding in the ground has been compounded by the fact no arrests have been made.
UEFA have been accused of ignoring an obvious threat of violence.
AZ released a statement on Friday condemning the actions, apologising to West Ham and disowning those involved.

Mayor shows UEFA and police how it’s done
And the city’s mayor has BANNED AZ fans from attending the game after what happened against the Hammers.
The NL Times states that Nijmegen Mayor Hubert Bruls decided to prevent AZ supporters from entering the stadium on Sunday.
“As there have been no arrests made following Thursday’s disturbances, the municipality is concerned that the crowd may include individuals who misbehaved on that day,” NLTimes reports.
“No arrests were made on Thursday as the primary focus of the police was to restore public order and safety, according to a spokesperson. The Alkmaar police announced on Saturday that they plan to release images of those involved in the riots. They further stated that individuals present at the scene have the opportunity to come forward voluntarily, which could prevent the release of these images.”
Reacting to the stadium ban, AZ stated: “We ask our supporters to accept this enforced decision. Let’s use the forthcoming period to let the positive aspects of the largely fantastic support throughout this season prevail once again. AZ finds it extraordinarily annoying that the large group of well-intentioned supporters is bearing the brunt of the idiotic behaviour of a few.”
