West Ham United are thought to be chasing Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka ahead of the January transfer window.

David Moyes is looking to bring in Aaron Wan-Bissaka to improve upon West Ham right-back Vladimir Coufal, and the 25-year-old Manchester United defender apparently wants to move to the London Stadium.

Hammers manager Moyes has a lot of work to do if he is to build a squad capable of pushing for a top seven finish this season.

One of the Scot’s priorities should be to sign a young, energetic and pacy right-back in order to upgrade upon Coufal.

Wan-Bissaka certainly fits into that category, and he’d be a truly exceptional addition for West Ham in my opinion.

It is a transfer that could happen this winter though, and is he a realistic transfer target?

Unfortunately, Claret and Hugh are claiming that Wan-Bissaka is not a target for the Hammers in January, and he has in fact never been on our radar.

That’s a huge shame as far as I’m concerned – I think that the Man United right-back would take us to another level entirely as a team, what with his pace and outstanding tackling ability.

Wan-Bissaka joined Manchester United from Crystal Palace for £50 million in the summer of 2019 (Sky Sports), and despite the fact that he’s struggled to truly establish himself at Old Trafford, he has still showcased his undeniable defensive qualities on a consistent basis for the Red Devils.

If Moyes doesn’t really fancy the Man United right-back that’s fair enough, but it’s probably more likely that the owners are not prepared to meet his valuation.

Signing a top-class, young right-back will be absolutely vital for the Hammers, if we are to make genuine progress as a team.

Unfortunately for us though, it seems like West Ham won’t be signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka anytime soon.
