Hammers boss David Moyes certainly needs to bolster his centre-forward ranks in the summer.
Michail Antonio continues to struggle with his hamstrings. Meanwhile, Sebastien Haller’s confidence seems to be rock bottom.
If West Ham are to make a push for the top seven in the second half of the season, signing a new striker in January will be a prerequisite.

And it seems as though the Hammers could be eyeing a player from Serie A.
Corriere dello Sport claims West Ham have already made contact with Spezia regarding a potential move to sign French striker M’Bala Nzola in January.
West Ham target M’Bala Nzola in great form
The 24-year-old has been on fire in Italy this season, scoring seven goals in 10 Serie A outings for Spezia (Transfermarkt).

The Frenchman is an industrious striker, is strong when playing with his back to goal but is also willing to make those tireless runs into the channels.
Nzola is a decent finisher as well. Seven goals in 10 games is testament to that.
It is unclear as to how much the Hammers would have to pay in order to prise the 24-year-old away from Spezia.
Considering West Ham’s financial plight, however, M’Bala Nzola had better be available for a bargain fee, otherwise we have no chance of signing him.
