Jarrod Bowen is reportedly set to be offered a new deal by West Ham United.

According to the Daily Mail, Jarrod Bowen can expect to double his £60k-a-week wages at West Ham, with just two years remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium.

Bowen, 26, wasn’t anywhere near his best for the Hammers this season. However, he did still bag 13 goals and nine assists in 54 games for West Ham (Transfermarkt), including the most important goal of his career against Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final.

The left-footed attacker joined the Hammers from Hull City back in January 2020 for around £18 million (The Daily Mail). He recently admitted how close he was to moving to Newcastle before he ended up at the London Stadium.

Luckily, David Moyes won the race for him instead. He’s been a great player for us for the past three-and-a-half years. And it seems as though he could be set to stay in East London for even longer now…

The Mail suggest that the 26-year-old Hammers ace is in line for a bumper new contract.

Too right as well. We all know that Jarrod hasn’t been at his best for large parts of this season but on the whole, he’s been incredible for us since 2020.

The challenge for the former Hull City ace now will be to reach that next level where he’s scoring 20 goals and racking up 10-15 assists or more in a season.

He’s certainly good enough to do it. And as long as he continues to work hard and applies himself properly off the pitch, I expect him to hit new heights over the next 2-3 years.

Jarrod Bowen has already written himself down in the history books, after his goal for West Ham against Fiorentina on Wednesday night.

Here’s to many more nights like the one in Prague for him, the team and the fans. Let’s hope that his new contract doesn’t breed complacency, which I’m sure it won’t.
