The real reason behind Mark Noble’s Monaco trip revealed after the excitement that he could be on scouting mission to watch West Ham targets.
Sporting director Noble was spotted watching Monaco against Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend.
Get French Football News claim Noble was in attendance for Monaco’s impressive 3-1 win at the Stade Louis II.
Given Noble will be involved in the process of West Ham signing players, it was speculated he had made the trip to run the rule over potential summer targets.

It sparked speculation that Noble was keeping tabs on Axel Disasi, who was linked with a move to West Ham in January (The Daily Mail).
Midfielders Mohamed Camara and Youssouf Fofana were also mentioned as potential targets of Noble’s alleged Hammers scouting mission.
But the real reason behind Noble’s Monaco trip after excitement that he could be on scouting mission to watch West Ham targets has already been revealed.
And unfortunately it’s not as exciting.
Speaking in an interview with The Evening Standard last week, Noble revealed he has been speaking to Monaco’s Paul Mitchell to pick his brains about being a sporting director.
And Mitchell had invited him over to meet and ‘see how it’s done’.
“I’ve spoken to Tiago (Pinto) at Roma and Paul Mitchell at Monaco,” Noble told The Evening Standard.

“There’s been a few. They’ve texted and said if you need any advice, come out and see how it’s done.
“In terms of being a technical director, these boys have a lot more experience than me, so why wouldn’t I want to get better?
“We all do it different ways, and I’ll do it my way.”
Who knows, players may have caught Noble’s eye while in attendance but that was not the purpose of the visit.
And Monaco are renowned as a club which produces players they sell on for huge fees, usually to Champions League clubs.
Noble will undoubtedly pay a visit to Roma soon to take up Pinto’s offer too.
So don’t be surprised if the Hammers are then suddenly linked with a host of players there as well.
