Jean-Clair Todibo could well be on a flight from France to London today, ahead of his proposed move to West Ham United.
It came as a huge shock to everyone involved with West Ham when it was reported late last night that Tim Steidten had struck a deal to bring Jean-Clair Todibo to the club.
It was claimed that the Hammers completed a late hijack of Juventus’s move to sign the France international, and that the transfer should be completed today.
If this does get done, it will be a major statement of intent from Steidten, Julen Lopetegui and of course, the West Ham owners, namely David Sullivan.
He’s incredibly powerful in the air, quick along the ground, is a great tackler and reads the game superbly well.
At 24, the Frenchman has at least 10 years left ahead of him playing at the highest level, and the partnership he would form with Max Kilman would be a fearsome one.

He’s perfectly suited to the Premier League what with his power, impressive pace and willingness to embrace the physical side of the game.
Now it seems like only a matter of time before we can call Todibo a West Ham player – that’s unbelievable if you ask me, such is his outstanding quality.
West Ham reporter moots potential Jean-Clair Todibo flight details
So it seems like the 24-year-old central defender will almost certainly join West Ham now this summer.
That is an incredibly exciting prospect. The fact that we’re even in discussions to sign players like Todibo is hard to believe.
And now, it seems like he could be en route to London very soon indeed – exciting times indeed.
Hammers insider Sean Whetstone took to his X account today, and posted a cryptic message.
Whetstone’s message can be seen below:
Now, Whetstone is clearly hinting that Todibo could be on the London-bound flight from Nice later this afternoon.
However, nothing is certain right now. One thing I’ve learned over the years is to never count my chickens until they’ve hatched when it comes to transfers.
Jean-Clair Todibo is definitely closing in on a move to West Ham, as confirmed by multiple top journalists.
Quite when he will be officially announced as a new Hammers player isn’t clear right now though. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.
What a summer transfer window this has been for us so far, and it’s about to get even better.
