Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola sent a message to West Ham at the end of his press conference on Saturday.

City beat Brentford 3-0 to go one point clear of Arsenal in the Premier League title race, but the Gunners have a game in hand.

They travel to the London Stadium on Sunday afternoon to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s West Ham side.

The Hammers are desperate for a result to keep their survival hopes alive, while City will also be cheering them on.

What changes would you make to this team and why? 👀

Pep Guardiola pleads for West Ham result against Arsenal

Pep Guardiola mimicked West Ham supporters as he exited his press conference after City’s victory over Brentford.

The six-time Premier League champion crossed his arms and said, “Come on you Irons,” to the reporters’ amusement.

While it might only have been a light-hearted gesture, Guardiola will undoubtedly be praying for a West Ham win.

If the Hammers beat Arsenal, City will remain top of the table with an equal (40) or better goal difference than Arsenal’s.

Meanwhile, if Nuno’s side can hold the league leaders to a draw, City will only be second by one goal difference.

This would set up a two-game shootout where the title could be decided by either goal difference or goals scored.

Are there any areas of WEAKNESS you have spotted in Arsenal? 🧐

Mavro has already gotten the better of Gyokeres once…

However, West Ham are in their own predicament and do not need any extra motivation to give their all against Arsenal.

A victory would see them overtake Tottenham by two points and temporarily escape the relegation zone.

A draw would bring West Ham level on points with Spurs ahead of their home game against Leeds on Monday night.

Unfortunately, Tottenham have a significantly better goal difference, so the Hammers will need to gain an extra point.

West Ham vs Arsenal is always a big game, but this weekend’s fixture could be the biggest of the 2025/26 season.
