Paul Merson raved about West Ham United ace Jesse Lingard, when speaking on Sky Sports yesterday (Saturday February 27th, 12:16pm).

The 28-year-old joined the Hammers on loan from Manchester United last month.
And Lingard has already made a huge impact at the London Stadium.
The 24-capped England international has racked up three goals and one assist in five games for West Ham so far.
The Manchester United-owned ace has totally transformed the way in which the Hammers attack.
His energy, drive and quality in possession has given West Ham a totally different facet to our attacking play. He has already established himself as a vitally important player for David Moyes.

The Hammers absolutely must sign him on a permanent deal in the summer.
Paul Merson suggested that Lingard is West Ham’s X factor, when speaking on Sky Sports yesterday (Saturday February 27th, 12:16pm):
“I think he is outstanding. You get good reports from his attitude and how good he’s been. I think he’s the difference. If they’re going to get in the top four, he’s their X factor.”
Merson is right. If West Ham are to have any chance of finishing inside the top four this season, we need Lingard to be firing on all cylinders in each and every game.
It’s certainly possible.
The 28-year-old has proven how much he still has to offer at the very highest level.
And snapping him up on a permanent deal in the summer seems like an absolute no-brainer for West Ham United.
