The 22-year-old has been absolutely outstanding for the Hammers over the past few years.
He has now fully established himself as a vitally important player for England as well.
The West Ham fans were concerned last week when The Telegraph’s Matt Law claimed that Rice has rejected two new contract offers from the club.

ExWHUemployee then suggested that Liverpool are weighing up a summer bid for the Hammers star.
Paolo Di Canio thinks Declan Rice is ideal for Liverpool
The West Ham fans are still hoping that the 22-year-old commits his long-term future to the club.
Di Canio suggested that Rice is good enough to leave the London Stadium for Anfield, however, when speaking to talkSPORT:

“They were incredible and made them nearly impossible to beat. He’s a fantastic guy because he’s a specialist in this position in midfield. Rice became the third central defender against Ukraine and he sorted out any problems, he’s a very, very good player. It’s no coincidence that in England you hear about Chelsea interest. To have Rice at this time in his career with the prospects that he can become one of the best in his position with his physical presence. He’s one of the best.”
Di Canio continued…
“There have been suggestions that Declan Rice is a target for Liverpool and he would be a good fit for them. Liverpool like central midfield players who work hard. Declan Rice isn’t going to come in and score lots of goals, he’s not going to be creative. The kind of players Liverpool need are players like Rice, hard-working midfield players who get the ball forward, make tackles, win the ball and keep it quite simple. He’s similar to Jordan Henderson in that way. So if he wants to come to Liverpool, he has the right profile for them.”
We all know how good Dec is. He is easily at the level required to play for Jurgen Klopp’s brilliant Liverpool team.
We just have to hope that the West Ham owners prove to Rice that they have the ambition needed to take the club forward over the next couple of years.
And if they don’t, we could easily see Rice plying his trade for Liverpool at Anfield next season.
