Pablo Felipe’s start to life at West Ham United has attracted quite a lot of attention from Hammers News readers and subscribers.
West Ham signed Pablo from Gil Vicente earlier this month, and he has since made four appearances without scoring a goal.
There have been promising signs from the 22-year-old. Nuno Espirito Santo was impressed with Pablo’s debut for West Ham against Nottingham Forest and he has since started every game.
What is the BEST and the WORST thing you’ve seen from Pablo Felipe so far?
Be honest in the comments 👀
Pablo and Taty Castellanos have given West Ham a new formation, one that has so far yielded a relative amount of success.
While the pair are yet to score in the Premier League, their energy up front has given West Ham a new way to play.
Clearly, the jury is still out on both. However, Hammers News readers and subscribers have been impressed with what they’ve seen thus far.
West Ham fans grade Pablo Felipe’s performance
Following West Ham’s win over Sunderland on Saturday, Hammers News asked our subscribers to rate Pablo’s performance.
The response was rather positive. Asked to grade his performance from A* (amazing) to D (poor), lots of our subscribers chose the higher grades.
One fan wrote: “B+. Pablo is improving with each game. He is getting up to the speed of the game. He is also putting a shift in.
He tracks back and defends, closes down the opposition’s defenders, and his vision to see his colleagues on the pitch is good. He is a huge improvement on [Lucas] Paqueta who does none of the above. Pablo will become a Hammers legend. Love him already.”
Another added: “B. Sometimes looks like his feet don’t do what his brain is telling them. Not stylish, but effective with his back to goal. Links well, rarely gives it away and gets a toe in when the opposition dilly dally.”

“Taty and Pablo ran for the whole game and caused enough bother to create space for others – B,” was another comment.
One supporter wrote: “A, we have just won 3-1, large part of that down to 2 new guys working their socks off and giving us front presence. Rest of the team getting to play off this with space to work in.”
“A. He gave his all for the team, that’s all you can ask of him,” read another verdict.
That’s not to say there weren’t some doubters, however.
“C minus. Mediocre and a hasty overpriced signing,” wrote one fan.
Another comment read: “C, but will improve with experience.”
One fan wrote: “D for me. Shows nothing. Slow, poor choices. Hopefully just needs time to settle.”

Nuno gambled on Pablo Felipe at West Ham
Nuno was the driving force behind Pablo signing for West Ham, which is interesting in itself.
Indeed, at the time both he and Taty Castellanos arrived in east London, the West Ham boss was under pressure after a dreadful run of results.
Though there’s still a long way to go of course, Nuno has so far been vindicated – at least in terms of results with both new players in the team.
It will be interesting to see how it all plays out. There have certainly been reasons to believe that Pablo will prove to be a success, but there’s an awful lot of improving to do too.
