Nuno Espirito Santo has confirmed that Adama Traore is West Ham United’s only injury concern heading into Sunday’s Premier League finale.

Traore suffered a muscle injury earlier this month and was duly ruled out of West Ham United’s Premier League defeats to Arsenal and Newcastle United.

Quite whether or not the Spaniard ever plays for West Ham United is uncertain. Traore is expected to leave West Ham this summer, although nothing has yet been confirmed.

Heading into Sunday’s game, Nuno revealed West Ham’s injury latest.

Adama Traore is West Ham’s only injury concern

Asked about the latest team news ahead of West Ham versus Leeds, Nuno said: “It is going to be hard for Adama to join us, but the rest are OK. They have small knocks and we have players to assess, but today hopefully everyone is going to be OK.”

Having a largely clean bill of health is obviously a major boost for the Irons, although it didn’t exactly serve them well at Newcastle last weekend.

Pretend you’re Nuno – what changes are you making ahead of Leeds? 👀

If anyone says keep the back five, I'll be shocked 😂

Still, West Ham surely cannot be quite as bad as they were then. They have been offered something of a lifeline by the fact Tottenham remain at threat of relegation, and Nuno surely won’t make the same mistakes.

With an almost fully fit squad from which to choose, Nuno has the chance to right the wrongs of last weekend.

Whether that is enough to keep them in the Premier League remains to be seen.

Indeed, there are genuine reasons to believe West Ham will stay up on the final day of the Premier League season.

Availability is the best ability and, Adama aside, Nuno has that in abundance.

It all comes down to this for West Ham. They cannot use injuries as an excuse and they simply must react and do their job by beating Leeds.

They cannot control what happens between Everton and Tottenham. Control is not a luxury they have but they owe it to their own fans to respond.

All eyes will be on Sunday’s team sheet. The time for talking will soon be over.
