Both Nuno Espirito Santo and Roberto De Zerbi are on the same page when it comes to West Ham United’s Premier League relegation showdown with Tottenham.

Following Tottenham’s defeat to Chelsea, West Ham still have hope of avoiding relegation this season

Nuno’s side need to beat Leeds on Sunday and hope Spurs lose to Everton – managed by a certain David Moyes, of course.

WE’RE STILL ALIVE 😍😍 How has Tottenham’s defeat made YOU feel about our survival chances?!

Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in! 😂

Following West Ham’s dreadful defeat to Newcastle on Sunday, Nuno urged West Ham to finish the season with “pride”

De Zerbi has now urged his team to do something similar.

De Zerbi calls for “pride” from Spurs, just like Nuno did from West Ham

Speaking during his post-match press conference, a calm De Zerbi said: “The most important thing is to keep the dignity, to keep the pride and to go on holiday like this [pointing his chin up] and not like this [pointing his chin down].”

Neither team can be proud of this season. While the fact it goes down to the wire is a positive for West Ham given the doom and gloom here in east London on Sunday, it is still little short of a scandal that they are in this position.

How do you FEEL about West Ham wanting to keep Nuno next season? 😳

It is difficult to suggest that fans should forget all of that for one game on Sunday. Still, it is surely the only way to get through Sunday.

Spurs have consistently failed to put West Ham away. The door has twice been opened for them in recent weeks and yet Nuno’s side remain in with a chance.

The West Ham players owe their supporters a reaction. They have been given a chance to repay them for what has largely been an awful campaign.

Nuno and his squad simply must take it. They cannot control what Spurs do – that’s a luxury they lost a few weeks ago.

What they can do, however, is react. Leeds will be no pushovers but failing to at least win at home on the final day would be another sorry footnote to a season that has constantly seen supporters let down.
