Niclas Fullkrug has shown the West Ham United fans what he’s really capable of over the past two games.

West Ham signed Niclas Fullkrug from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, but he has endured a disastrous campaign at the London Stadium.

The 32-year-old has really impressed in his last two games though, after missing around five months of action due to Achilles and hamstring injuries.

Graham Potter has even suggested that he could change his system at West Ham because of Niclas Fullkrug’s qualities.

Potter is clearly a huge fan of Fullkrug, and labelled him as a player with really unique qualities.

The German has certainly made a big difference for the Hammers since he returned from injury.

Fullkrug has to start for the Hammers in every single game until the end of the season now.

Potter needs to set up his team with a real focal point, and Fullkrug is the perfect man to do just that.

The big German is incredibly strong in the challenge and he really occupies opposing defenders.

Fullkrug has incredible aerial ability and possesses an extremely impressive first touch. He is a superb finisher as well.

When he’s fully up to speed, I’m convinced that he will be a hugely important player for the Hammers.

The really exciting thing for me is the prospect of the former Borussia Dortmund man linking up with some of the exceptional attacking players we have.

Niclas Fullkrug raves about Jarrod Bowen

Jarrod Bowen is the best and most consistent player we have at West Ham.

Whilst our skipper hasn’t been anywhere near his best this season, he has still been our most consistent performer.

And Fullkrug lifted the lid on just how much he loves Jarrod.

The Germany international shared how he enjoys playing with the 28-year-old, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“Jarrod scored a very good goal. I think he’s come back really well after his injury, and he’s very important for us. He’s our captain for a reason, and I really enjoy playing with him. I think we fit together really well.

That’s great to hear, and I’m really looking forward to seeing Fullkrug and Bowen bounce off one another for West Ham over the next few years.
