West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug seemingly has an incredible vision for the future at the London Stadium.

Niclas Fullkrug became the number one striker target for West Ham earlier this summer, after Julen Lopetegui failed to bring Jhon Duran to the London Stadium.

The Spaniard’s decision to bring Niclas Fullkrug to West Ham for around £25 million may well end up succeeding, or failing.

It’s too early to call either way. However, he certainly has the talent and skillset needed to make a difference for the Hammers.

Patience will be crucial to his chances of succeeding at the London Stadium.

Fullkrug clearly believes in himself, and has huge aspirations for his time with West Ham it seems.

Niclas Fullkrug’s West Ham ambition is clear to see

The 31-year-old hasn’t been given a proper chance to impress for the Hammers yet.

I fully expect him to be fully integrated into the West Ham starting lineup after the international break though.

Fullkrug is clearly a very ambitious man, and he has quite the plan in his head for his future with the Hammers.

German website Waz quote the striker as saying:

“My goal is to get back to where I came from,” says Fullkrug, who is also aiming for a participation in the Champions League with West Ham.

Wow, the Champions League! With the sheer amount of top quality sides in the Premier League now, that is quite the ambition from the former Borussia Dortmund hitman.

Let’s hope his dream comes true, but I would take a top seven finish this season!

Niclas Fullkrug needs time at West Ham

The German’s lack of pace shouldn’t actually impact upon his ability to succeed with the Hammers.

The main reason for that is the fact that he never had any kind of pace even when he was in his early 20’s!

What will be key for Fullkrug will be for him to adapt to Lopetegui’s system and footballing philosophy at the London Stadium.

The fans need to give him his full support, and once he’s fully settled into the team, and life in East London, I think he’ll be a hit with us.

These things take time. Niclas Fullkrug joined West Ham from a different country, and moved to a league with a much faster tempo at the age of 31.

If the team play to his strengths, he will do very well for us, I have no doubts about that.
