West Ham United are thought to be lining up a move to sign a really talented young defender before the transfer window slams shut on D-day.
The January transfer window is now just 55 hours away from closing, and West Ham seem to be intent on getting some more business done before D-day.
Hammers boss David Moyes has already signed Kalvin Phillips, and is thought to be frantically chasing the signing of a new winger as well.
However, it is claimed by the Sun that the Scot is now after a centre-back, with 22-year-old Le Havre ace Etienne Kinkoue on his radar.
This name has come completely out of the blue, but I fully trust Tim Steidten and Moyes with their recruitment process…

West Ham now pushing hard for bargain £10m deal before D-day
The Sun reckon that the Hammers are trying really hard to bring the Le Havre youngster to the London Stadium before Thursday’s deadline.
I’m not going to lie and say that I’ve seen him play, or even heard of him for that matter! However, his stats look pretty good on paper, and he seems like an ideal fit for West Ham.
Standing at 6ft 5in tall, the young Frenchman cuts an extremely imposing figure, and seems to be perfectly built for the Premier League.
In 10 Ligue 1 outings for Le Havre this season, Kinkoue has averaged two interceptions and 5.4 clearances per game (Who Scored).
Given his height, it’s obvious that he’s very strong in the air. However, the 22-year-old is very good with his feet as well, and has averaged a completion rate of 88.9% per match from 46.9 attempted passes.
If West Ham manage to sign Kinkoue for £10 million before D-day, I think it would be a decent bit of business for us.
