Bianca Westwood has brilliantly just stood up for the West Ham United fans after a bizarre swipe from Gary Neville.

West Ham took on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League on Monday night, and Gary Neville was on co-comms duty.

The Hammers were unlucky not to get a result from the clash with the Blues.

Jarrod Bowen was sensational for West Ham whilst Mohammed Kudus flattered to deceive, but the all-round performance was a very good one from the team in general.

Graham Potter has made huge strides since he took the job at the London Stadium.

And the Hammers fans clearly appreciate what he has done with the current group of players he has at his disposal.

The evidence is there – Potter has West Ham playing with a higher intensity, a more organised press and far more coolness and composure, with neat and intricate little patterns of play.

The travelling Hammers fans were clearly loving what they were witnessing at Stamford Bridge.

We had key players out injured remember, with the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Jean-Clair Todibo, Michail Antonio and Crysencio Summerville all missing.

I cannot wait to see what Potter can do with this team when he has a full compliment of players to choose from.

Midway through the game, Neville suggested that the travelling Hammers fans only had one song.

What an incredible accusation that is.

Those at the game or watching from their televisions would have noticed that the West Ham away support went through the entire repertoire from the first minute of the game up until the last.

They sang the likes of Bubbles, stick the blue shirt…, Graham Potter’s Claret and Blue army, my name is Ludo Miklosko and a whole catalogue of Andy Irving appreciation chants.

Thankfully, Bianca Westwood took to her X account to respond to Neville’s bizarre accusation:

I absolutely love that from Bianca.

The West Ham fans were sensational at Stamford Bridge, and didn’t stop supporting the boys throughout the match.

The songs about Andy Irving were fantastic, and the Scottish midfielder would have appreciated them greatly.

The noise coming from the away end in west London on Monday night was incredible for the entire 90 minutes.

Gary Neville’s swipe at the West Ham fans was a bizarre one, but Bianca Westwood rightly put him back in his box.
