West Ham are all set to face Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final out in Prague on Wednesday night.

La Viola will represent West Ham’s strongest test yet in the competition by a very long way, and David Moyes will be well aware of that.

However, it appears as though the Italians are slightly weakened heading into the huge final…

Kickest name Antonin Barak and Salvatore Sirigu as two Fiorentina players who are currently injured.

If both of those do miss out, or even just one of them, it will be a huge boost for the Hammers.

Barak, 28, is a key player for Fiorentina and has bagged eight goals for them this season (Transfermarkt). The attacking midfielder is one of the Serie A side’s most creative players, and if he misses out on Wednesday, the Hammers defenders should have an easier job.

And then there is Sirigu. He is not Fiorentina’s number one goalkeeper so at first glance, it might seem like the 36-year-old Italian being unavailable wouldn’t be that bad for La Viola.

However, should number one stopper Bartlomiej Dragowski suffer an injury in the next couple of days or get sent off during the game, not having the reliable Sirigu serving as a backup will be a problem for Fiorentina.

With the Europa Conference League final now just two days away, the nerves are starting to kick in. This is the biggest and most important game we have all faced as a club since the FA Cup final in 2006.

And if Fiorentina are not at full strength, the West Ham players will surely have to take the game to the Italians, impose themselves on the game and play with Premier League speed and intensity.

If they do just that, I can’t see anything other than a Hammers win.
