West Ham United centre-back Max Kilman has just made a big admission that will leave the Hammers fans in shock.
West Ham paid Wolves £40 million to bring Max Kilman to the London Stadium back in July, and he has already proven to be an exceptional addition for the club.
Max Kilman has stood out in every single game West Ham have played so far this season, and it’s now clear to see why Julen Lopetegui was so keen to bring him to the London Stadium.
The West Ham head coach knew the central defender very well indeed, having coached him during his spell in charge of Wolves.
Lopetegui clearly trusts Kilman implicitly, and it was claimed that the former Wolves man was in contention to become the new Hammers captain, before Jarrod Bowen was handed the armband.
The West Ham fans already love Kilman, after his stunning start to life in East London.
However, he may well be even more popular now, after his latest comments…
Max Kilman makes admission that will shock West Ham fans
The 6ft 4in central defender has really made his mark at the London Stadium already.
He has been incredibly solid defensively and it’s clear to see already that he’s a huge upgrade on Kurt Zouma.

In addition to doing the basics right, the way that he steps out if defence with the ball and charges forward really has been incredible to watch.
And now Kilman has made a really surprise admission, when speaking to WHUFC.com.
The Hammers defender said, “It feels great [to be back here in London],”
“Not many people know this, but I’m actually from West Ham. I grew up in West Ham until I was nine, and then I moved to north-west London. So, being closer to home and closer to friends and family is really good.“
“It is [the perfect move]. I went to West Ham Church school, and my dad used to go to West Ham Park, so obviously I’m very local to West Ham and grew up here. It feels like I’m back home.“
Kilman is a Cockney
Well, I never knew that the former Wolves man was an East End boy!
I always presumed he grew up in West London, but now we know that he’s an East London boy! Brilliant.
Max Kilman will go on to become a West Ham legend, if he remains at the club for at least the next five years.
From what I’ve seen of him so far, he already seems like one of the best signings we’ve made in recent history.
£40 million for Kilman sounded like a serious amount of money at the time, but now it looks like a steal.
Hopefully he continues his fine form throughout the course of the season, and if he does, he’ll definitely force his way into the England reckoning.
