Majorly exciting Baris Alper Yilmaz claim made, he’d make West Ham United’s attack unstoppable

The West Ham United fans should be absolutely buzzing after hearing the latest Baris Alper Yilmaz claim.

The 24-year-old Galatasaray star first emerged as a transfer target for West Ham a couple of days ago, when it was claimed that the Hammers are trying to prise him away from the Turkish giants.

Unsurprisingly, Galatasaray don’t want to sell Baris Alper Yilmaz, so the Hammers will really have to push the boat out if we are to take him away from RAMS Park.

Julen Lopetegui has a lot of work to do over the next month or so, if he is to get his squad up to scratch ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

The Spaniard has already made three signings, and we can expect at least three more new arrivals before the 2024/25 campaign begins.

In my opinion, getting the signing of a new versatile attacker should be one of Lopetegui’s priorities this summer.

Of course, the additions of a new striker and a central midfielder will take precedent over the above, but adding someone like Yilmaz to the mix really would take us to another level.

And now, an extremely exciting claim has been made about the Hammers’ intent to sign the 24-year-old forward…

Majorly exciting Baris Alper Yilmaz to West Ham claim made

The Turkey international has really burst onto the scene on the world stage over the past year or so.

He’s a terrific talent, but it is his attitude and application that makes him stand out from the rest as far as I’m concerned.

It’s rare these days to find talented attacking players with plenty of skill and flair but also a proper work ethic.

Everything about Yilmaz makes him absolutely perfect for the way that we will set up as a team under Lopetegui.

And now it seems like the Gala ace could very well be London Stadium bound this summer.

According to a report from Yeni Akit, West Ham are imminently set to make a £29.45 million bid for the Galatasaray winger.

Waht an incredible signing he would be for the Hammers.

He bagged seven goals and 12 assists in 55 games for Galatasaray last season, and really impressed for Turkey out in Germany at Euro 2024.

Yilmaz is a right-footed right winger – a rare commodity in this day and age. However, he can play out wide on the left as well, and through the middle as a striker if need be.

If the Hammers did sign the Galatasaray star, he would invariably play out wide on the left – we have more than enough competition for places in the right wing department after all.

He possesses pace in abundance, is incredibly tenacious, has fantastic dribbling ability and has real end product inside the final third.

Personally, I think spending £30 million on Baris Alper Yilmaz would be a smart move from West Ham this summer – his value will only increase over the next few years.

If Lopetegui manages to bring the Turkish ace to the club, I believe he’d make us an unstoppable attacking force, playing alongside the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paqueta.

Whether or not the Hammers owners are prepared to allocate that kind of money for Lopetegui to sign the Turkey international remains to be seen though.
